Jessica Carsen

BIOGRAPHY

Jessica Carsen is Senior Vice President for Communications & Public Affairs at Sony Music UK & Ireland. 
 
Jessica joined Sony Music’s UK executive committee in 2019 and runs a division spanning comms, media, events, government relations and policy. Jessica is a founding co-Chair of Sony Music’s award-winning UK Social Justice Fund and represents Sony on the BPI’s Council (British Phonographic Industry) and as a Trustee of the music industry charity the BRIT Trust, which she joined in January 2024.
 
Jessica joined Sony from News UK, where she was Director of Communications for The Times and The Sunday Times for 10 years where she also ran The Times CEO Summit, developed The Times Enterprise Network and represented News UK on the board of the British Journalism Review.
 
Prior to this, Jessica worked in both editorial and commercial roles in media and financial services, including at the FT, Time Magazine and at the BBC bureaux in New York and Washington DC.
