Angela Watts

BIOGRAPHY

Angela Watts was previously VP Global Communications at Spotify, with overall responsibility for the company’s external and internal communications, across 58 markets. Since its launch in Sweden in 2008, Spotify has driven more than $3 billion to rights holders, is now the second biggest source of digital music revenue for labels in Europe and the biggest and most successful music streaming service of its kind globally.

Before joining Spotify, Angela was Director of Communications for Yahoo! Europe and led the communications strategy across five countries. During her seven years at Yahoo! she moved through various roles spanning corporate, consumer, B2B, crisis and internal communications.

Angela now works across the music and entertainment sectors as a consultant, including with exciting new tech brands and social media platforms such as TikTok.

Angela is a classically trained musician (piano, flute, percussion) and, until her son was born, remained a freelance percussionist in several London orchestras.
