One Media iP (LON:OMIP), the digital music publisher and rights acquirer has promoted Kathryn Brewer to the position of Managing Creative Technician with immediate effect.
Miss Brewer will report directly to COO Alice Dyson (recently re-elected to the board of the BPI) and CEO Michael Infante . Miss Brewer, a BRIT Apprenticeship Scheme graduate, joined the Group in 2019 and at 23 years old becomes the youngest member of One Media’s management team.
CEO Michael Infante said:
“Kathryn has been covering ably for our longest standing manager Vicki Sweeney who is on maternity leave, and she has demonstrated skills and maturity beyond her years. This step-up is entirely down to Kathryn’s hard work and I’m delighted to welcome her to the senior management team.”
Kathryn Brewer said:
“It’s great to be part of a future-facing music company that proactively seeks to promote from within. Michael and Alice are inspiring mentors and I am looking forward to building on the ground-breaking work we are doing to protect and promote music in the digital age.”
In her new role Miss Brewer will oversee the management of One Media’s digital assets, which have significantly increased thanks to some high-profile acquisitions including Take That producer royalties, Kid Creole and The Coconuts and the catalogue recordings of the late Don Williams, the latter being the largest single acquisition in the group’s history to date.
Miss Brewer will also work with One Media’s anti-piracy tech subsidiary TCAT, whose A.I software is widely used across the industry to monitor over 600 digital music stores world-wide.
